Rigorous Infection Control (Between Yards)

 

Disease prevention is at the heart of our service. We treat every yard as a unique "bio-bubble" to ensure we never transport pathogens from one location to another.

 

• The Clean-Entry Protocol: Before arriving at any premises, all equipment and footwear are cleaned and disinfected using DEFRA-approved solutions (such as Virkon S).

 

• Zero-Cross Contamination: We prioritise using each horse’s own grooming kits and tack. Any tools provided by Stable Mates are medical-grade sterilised between every single use.

 

• The "Wash-In, Wash-Out" Policy: We follow strict hand hygiene, using sanitiser before and after handling each individual horse to ensure total biosecurity.

 

• Vehicle Awareness: To protect your grazing land, we park only in designated "clean areas," preventing the spread of bacteria or parasites via tyres.
